Tuesday's Blog - LORD of Heaven and Earth

Tuesday’s Blog – Lord of Heaven and Earth

Proverbs 31:2 – What, my son? And what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows?

Bible Challenges and Comments

Can a mother plead with a son or daughter to do the right thing, Oh for sure mothers do! Just the thought of a son or daughter falling into mischief is enough to send a parent to their knees, as parents (especially moms) we have been there, praying day and night often wondering just what the child is up too.

Through the ages of time we have lived like every generation of the one we follow… there is nothing new under the sun. I sadly – chuckle at the thought of this, in that we all say “My children are going to be different” really? Often the effort to make them different results in failure and failure only takes a moment of error to run the course of a lifetime.

We can glean from the Living Word of God that it is God who has planned the path of every living soul. Psalm 119:105 – Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. That moment of error for the most of us is that we never opened the Holy Bible to direct our children to follow God, we do not open it for our self, so how can we expect our children to grow up with godly integrity?

This past Sunday we sang a hymn called “God of the Ages” and let me just say that God does not change. He has not moved to the right or left. He alone is History’s Maker… even when we as His creation do all in our power to destroy Him. Yet He will reach out in His mercy and save us if we let HIM. Yes, we praise God because He is LORD of the PAST, the PRESENT and the PLANNED future.

Tomorrow is not only a new day, but it is a new year (now I know you know that) so don’t go off on me here and miss the rest. I have no resolutions, promises or bargaining chips for any of us to claim. What you do or do not do with your personal life tomorrow is between you and your lord… hopefully your LORD is the LORD! You see Margaret Carlson the writer of the hymn “God of the Ages” writes in her closing verse.

LORD of past ages, LORD of this morning, LORD of the future (tomorrow morning), Help us we pray! (Are you praying?) Teach us to Trust YOU, Love and Obey YOU, Crown YOU each moment LORD OF TODAY!

Just let me say in closing; it is so VERY IMPORTANT to each ONE of us to KNOW the LORD of past ages, to KNOW Him in the morning, each morning and each moment of the day. The LORD is OMNI-PRESENT, can you and me IGNORE HIM, sadly we can, but HE does not IGNORE US. So this New Year can be a NEW YEAR if we LISTEN in obedience to HIS-STORY!

Have a BLESSED New Year!
