Tuesday’s
Blog – The Faith of the Ant!
Proverbs
6:6-8 – (Paraphrased) Go observe the ant, you who are indolent. Consider the
way of the ant and be wise. The ant has no leader, no overseer or ruler. Yet she
supplies food for the summer and a harvest for the winter.

Challenges and Comments
Faith
is evident from the very beginning of time, yet it is argued by the world that
faith is not a reliable source of belief, so I say; “How foolish is it to
believe that since it takes faith to believe such foolishness”.
Faith
was evident in the life of Abel the first Son of Adam. Faith in God caused Abel
to offer to God a more excellent sacrifice to God than that of Cain. Abel
obtained a witness from God that is still visible today. That visibility is
still available today because Abel is dead and buried, but his sacrifice still
speaks.
God
testified of the sacrifices of Abel in that these were “gifts” to God. What? Does
not Cain’s sacrifice speak too? Yes, Cain’s sacrifice speaks as clearly and
Cain is just as dead as Abel, but there the difference is that Cain’s offering
did not did not please God, therefore Cain has no reward, his sacrifice is
forgotten.
Now
it is hard to see how God chose one sacrifice over the other and over time,
much study has been applied to this by many great theologians, but I think that
the context of Hebrews 11:4-7 provides ample evidence of why God chose the sacrifice
of Abel over the sacrifice of Cain and it certainly is not that Cain had an “anger
management problem”.
Notice
to why Enoch did not see death as explained by the writer of Hebrews in 11:5, “By
faith Enoch was translated so that he did not see death, and was not found
because God had translated him”; for before his translation he had this testimony,
that he PLEASED God. Pleased or
pleasing to God is the key.
So
more simply, Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please HIM (God), for he who
comes to God must believe that He is (GOD), and that He is a rewarder of those
who diligently seek HIM.
Sacrifices
to God that are directed by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (out of
the ground) are nothing more than the exhaled dust (Genesis 3:14) from the
lungs of Satan whose head was crushed by the Resurrection from the dead of
Jesus Christ who now lives in eternity.
His
sacrifice for sin is well pleasing to God and if you believe this, you stand in
that grace. The same grace afforded to Moses and Alijah as recorded by Matthew
in Matthew 17:1-9 and then witnessed of this event by the apostle Peter in 2
Peter 1:17.
